What would you do
if you believed you could do anything?

A collage of nine images includes a cup of green matcha latte with latte art, a bottle cap with an inspirational quote, a tree with colorful autumn leaves, a bowl of fresh tomatoes and a chili pepper, a woman with shoulder-length brown hair smiling, a turntable playing a record, a pink flower in a pot, two glasses of dark beer with a menu, and a garden with various blooming flowers.

Hi, I’m Amy!

I was born and raised in New Mexico, but have traveled all over the world (favorite destinations so far: Tokyo, Dubrovnik, Barbados, Seattle). I love a good matcha latte. I was fortunate enough to have been raised by parents who told me I could be anything I wanted to be, and I believe that to be true of all people, everywhere. Fall is my favorite season, but I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin spice (sorry!). I love collecting vinyl records, gardening, cooking and laughing with my friends and family. I love going to paint and sip with friends even if what I paint never looks like the example picture. I believe in working hard and being nice to people. I am a continual work in progress, and I love working with people who think they are too.

Coaching Services

In this new world we are living in - one that can be brittle, anxious, non-linear and incomprehensible - leading with your values, understanding your own worth, and building in time for rejuvenation is critical for leaders.

If you’re a leader who is wanting to find more balance, figure out a path forward, or make a new plan for success, let’s talk! I also love working with new managers in their first two years of management, and with parents in leadership or management who want to find a way to balance their career aspirations with their family life.

I use the Co-Active Coaching philosophy in my work with clients. From the CTI website: “The Co-Active Model balances self-awareness, a keen agility with relationships, and courageous action to create an environment where individuals can be deeply fulfilled, connected to others and successful in what matters most.” It is a methodology with a proven history and unparalleled results.

Using the Co-Active Coaching philosophy allows me to offer my coaching clients real, actionable, and practical support that helps them achieve the goals they set. We stay future-focused and don’t waste time dissecting past actions or choices - because all that matters is what you’re going to do next.

Having worked in Corporate America, and in large multi-layered organizations, I have an intimate understanding of what it takes to be successful as a leader in those contexts. There is no ignoring company politics, external cultural shifts, your organization’s culture and norms, and the realities of navigating the very real challenges you face every workday. I don’t offer people pie-in-the-sky ideation, or encourage you to focus on changing what you don’t have control over. I will help you identify your values, decide how you want those values to show up in your work, and formulate practical plans for achieving success - as you define it.

In my work with coaching clients, I will sometimes use assessments such as DISC or 16 Personalities  to help clients narrow down focus areas for coaching. I can also administer and debrief 360-degree assessments.

I am an International Association of Coaching Masteries Practitioner, and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC), certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Consulting Services

In addition to coaching leaders, I also provide consulting services to small-to-medium-size businesses and nonprofits.

What I do in consulting:

  1. Engage internal stakeholders in dialogue and design thinking exercises to develop systems and processes that work for the entire organization

  2. Use appreciative inquiry processes to uncover organizational strengths - I also use a SOAR process (vs a SWOT analysis) to help organizations determine Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, and Results

  3. Design a comprehensive change management plan

  4. Draft change communications, and develop training to help shepherd the organization through the change process

  5. Stay engaged with the organization through the initial implementation of the change, to assist with tweaks or adjustments as-needed

  6. I can help organizations with strategic planning, organizational restructuring and reorganization, compensation philosophy and strategy development, and business planning for new or existing businesses

  7. I also can help organizations looking to develop internal leaders with designing and implementing cohort-based leadership development programs, which can be supplemented with 1-1 leadership development coaching
